Luxor Solar GmbH has built a green-field solar system in Croatia with a capacity of 360kW. The installation was realised with a strategic project partner and was connected to the grid last year. A further installation of similar size is due to be constructed in spring 2015 before the relevant licence becomes invalid.
Luxor Solar also supplied 1,440 polycrystalline Ecoline LX-250P modules for installations in Slavonia in the eastern part of the country. Once the contract was agreed, things moved very quickly. All the electricity produced will be fed into the grid. When funding runs out in 14 years, the investor wishes to support local farms with affordable solar power. Luxor Solar has a market share of about 10 percent in Croatia and is the market leader.
