CHLORIDE EXIDE KENYA LIMITED is a limited liability company, established in Kenya in 1963 as part of the Chloride Group PLC in UK, with its core business as distribution of automotive batteries to end users.

Chloride Exide products range from lead-acid automotive batteries (including maintenance free), deep cycle batteries, solar panels, solar water heating, inverter power back-up systems, motive power batteries, standby batteries and related accessories. Chloride Exide batteries are manufactured to the highest standards at our factory – ASSOCIATED BATTERY MANUFACTURERS (E.A.) LTD, which is also ISO certified (ISO 9001:2008). In addition, we are the appointed service center for Outback Power (USA), Victron Inverters (The Netherlands), Morning Star (USA), Phocos (Germany), Megasun (Greece) and SouthWest Wind power (USA).

Of particular pride is our strong brand supported by a countrywide network of 13 branches and over 400 dealers. In addition, Chloride Exide has registered subsidiary companies in Tanzania and Uganda.

Now ISO 9001:2008 certified, Chloride Exide aims to comply with, maintain and continuously improve the effectiveness of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
