Battery system
Total capacity: 1000 Kwh, 500V
The scope of supply shall include- but not limited to – the following systems and components:
• Battery system, consisting of: cells, modules, battery management system, battery racks
• Power conversion system (inverters)
• BESS control system
• Housing
• Power (AC and DC and LV) and control cabling
• Earthing and lightning protection
• Accessories likes heating, ventilation, air conditioning. Lighting, protection devices, measurement and metering.
The battery system shall be based on lithium, sodium ion or flow technology. The battery system must guarantee the following minimum specifications:
• Power capacity degradation must be less than 2.5% per year
• A minimum of 3,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, End of Life (EoL) at 80% must be guaranteed by the battery supplier according to IEC 62620
• Self discharge at operational temperature shall be smaller or equal to 5% per month
• DC round-trip efficiency (charge and discharge) at the power required to achieve the BESS rated power shall be higher than 80%
The battery management system must be able to communicate via a suitable industrial communication standard with the battery subcontrollers and with the BESS Control System
The battery system shall consist of set of modules or racks that can be connected in parallel or series to the inverters. Each module needs to have switches for connecting the modules to the common DC-Bus
