This bid bond is returnable in either case whether you win or lose. It is a sort of bank document of guarantee which ensures that if you win then you will supply the material and can not back out. It is a sort of precaution to avoid the fake bids. This bid bond on legal paper of the Govt. of Pakistan will be issued by any foreign bank or local bank which has a working relationship with your bank in your country. The issuing bank in Pakistan under the instructions of your bank in your country should be operating in Pakistan and the bid bond will be in the name of the client which is a governmental organization and known in the whole world in power sector. The foreign bank or your bank will instruct its branch or working partner bank or liason branch in Pakistan to issue bid bond for the stipulated time of validity of your quotation.
