Hello,
We are looking for a supplier capable of designing and manufacturing a complete, self-supporting solar structure to be installed on the roof of a 20-foot shipping container.
1. Type of structure required
We are not looking for a rooftop rail system.
We need a triangular load-bearing structure (A-frame), similar to a small metal truss, that sits directly on top of the container and supports multiple tilted solar panels.
2. Installation without drilling
• No drilling or welding on the container is allowed.
• Two installation options are acceptable:
– fixation only through the upper ISO corner castings, or
– self-supporting ballasted structure placed on top of the container (similar to the photos).
3. Photovoltaic panel compatibility
• Panel width is fixed, for example 1222 mm.
• Panel length must be variable: the mounting system must be adjustable in length to support different PV module sizes.
• Easy panel mounting is required.
4. Tilt angle
• The structure must provide a tilted mounting angle for the solar panels.
• Tilt can be fixed or adjustable — please propose both options if possible.
5. Materials
• Corrosion-resistant materials: aluminum, hot-dip galvanized steel, or stainless steel.
• The structure must be suitable for long-term outdoor use in harsh conditions.
6. Compliance
• The structure must be compatible with European standards, including:
– mechanical safety requirements,
– wind resistance,
– corrosion resistance,
– REACH/ROHS compliance for materials when applicable.
7. Requested information
Please provide:
• detailed quotation (MOQ, unit price, any tooling/mold costs),
• preliminary drawings or technical sketches,
• load capacity, wind resistance, and structural stability data,
• customization options (tilt angle, dimensions, materials),
• photos or references of similar products you have manufactured (if available).
